Have Theme Parks Changed in England in the Last 30 Years?

By Andrea Smith

British amusement parks evolved from traveling fairs created just for those who wanted to "escape" for a day or a night from regular life. Thirty years ago, theme parks began adding more extreme thrill rides, catering to those who would gladly stand in a queue for an hour for the chance to experience the cathartic thrill of hurtling down a track at 60 miles per hour in an open-topped train.

It was around this time that coasters like The Bullet (Flamingo Land), The Revolution (Pleasure Beach Blackpool), and The Avalanche (also Pleasure Beach Blackpool) were built. The Avalanche is still the UK's only bobsleigh ride.

As the 80s progressed, theme parks could tell that bigger and better thrill rides would attract the most visitors. There are roller coaster clubs in the UK that meet up at theme parks just to experience some of these rides and the company of other coaster enthusiasts. Basically the idea was to have the latest and greatest, most extreme coaster or other thrill ride available.

The same held true through the 90s, except that the major parks kept bumping up against the limits of what it was possible to do in terms of speed, loops, heights, or degree of drop. The benefit was to the theme park visitor, because he or she had an abundance of choices in extreme thrill rides, most of them available within easy driving distances.

Many park areas containing the most extreme thrill rides were given a more dark, sleek, almost sinister feel to enhance the sense of foreboding and danger visitors would feel as they stood in the queue. The 90's involved a huge amount of "rebranding" and redesign of theme parks.

A major innovation of the 21st century at theme parks is the introduction of virtual queuing. For an extra fee, park visitors are loaned pagers and are notified when it is their turn in line at a major attraction. It is sometimes called a Fastpass and relieves the boredom of waiting in long queues by allowing visitors to browse or visit other attractions in the vicinity while waiting in a virtual line.

Men, Get Rid of Beer Belly While Still Drinking Beer!

By Dorthy Weatherbush

Men are you tired of hearing about how flat your stomach used to be and how the heaviest thing you lift now is your gut over your belt? If so, thats about to change, as I (drum roll please) am about to show you How to Get Rid of the Beer Belly without Giving Up Beer! Now let's get down to defining what a beer belly really is and determine if it is really caused by beer.

What is a beer belly? A beer belly is by definition a section of fat that has begun to live somewhere between your chest and the area you used to call your waistline. But is it cause by beer? The answer is no. Science and medicine has proven that beer bellies are actually caused by a build up in calories resulting from unhealthy eating habits and lifestyles. The stomach area is the region of the body where men have the greatest deposit of fat cells so, when the body intakes a lot of calories and doesn't burn them up throughout the day, the body send the fat to that specific area right in your stomach.

Okay, now that we've discussed where that belly comes from, (probably those mashed potatoes you like to eat) we can now discuss what you can do to get rid of it. You should start by working on those fat cells that are spreading across your stomach. While I have already stated that beer is not the cause, it can contribute to your rotund stomach. Alcohol can make you hungrier (remember beer and pizza with the guys on Sunday night?). But if you stopped drinkg as much, you'd probably stop eating as much which would be one step on your journey to flat abs.

Lose the beer and you can also lose that increased appetite. But this article isn't about getting rid of the beer; it's about getting rid of the belly, so I won't tell you to stop drinking. You could also exercise and burn more calories than the amount of calories you take in from drinking beer. But exercise too may sound like a lot of hard work. So for the purposes of this article, we will focus on the best beers for your belly!

So the first thing that comes to your mind when I say low calories is all those light beers that taste likewell you know, but How to Get Rid of the Beer Belly without Giving Up Beer is for real men who would never think of ordering one of "them there sissy light beers."

So first up is a nice dark Guinness Draught, boasting 125 calories and 10 carbs its not a light beer but it does have a low calorie count and you wont have to drink 10 of them to make up for the lack of taste. Next up is Beamish Irish Stout, it has 131 calories but you still arent losing anything in the taste and your waist is happy. So drink responsibly and finish up with Busch, it has 133 calories and about 10 carbs.

Now you know what you can do to get rid of that beer belly without getting rid of the beer. As a matter of fact, the next time your wife or girlfriend or your mother tells you to get from in front of the television and lose some weight, go to the fridge, grab yourself a cold one and tell her you're working on it right now!

The staff at a rehab center is usually very experienced in dealing with the unique nature of a gambling addiction; they understand that a gambler doesn't possess the sheer will to stop gambling, that they suffer from a compulsive disorder that requires treatment like any other disease. The gambling addiction program at many luxury treatment centers leverage the expertise of their trained staff and includes treatment of both the physiological and psychological aspects of the addiction.

Luxury Rehab centers also recognize that recovery from a gambling addiction cannot take place in a stressful, crowded or unpleasant environment. This is the reason why they provide exclusive residences which are designed to make their patients as comfortable as possible during their stay and to prevent the stresses from everyday life from intruding on their recovery.

When in-residence treatment is completed, an after-care program is provided and counseling is also offered along with other services for family members. Residents are comfortable, relaxed, medically supervised and worry-free during their stay, so that they have nothing to distract them from their recovery. The Best Fantasy Football Surprises

By Melissa Donnelly

If you've been following football this year, you've likely been impressed with the many pleasant surprises we've seen in the fantasy football world so far. While it's true that some of the players we expected a lot out of have done next to nothing so far, there are those players who had no expectations, yet they're tearing things up in 2009.

It's interesting how it all works, but that's what we get when it comes to the wild world of fantasy football. Without further ado, here are a few players who've been very pleasant surprises so far through the first part of the season. These are just a few of the many great overachievers we've witnessed thus far.

Pierre Garcon. This Indianapolis Colts wide receiver has turned from a no name to a bona fide wide receiver in a matter of weeks. No one even knew who he was, and now he's catching touchdowns left and right.

Garcon has been magnificent in filling the void left by Anthony Gonzalez, and Peyton Manning seems to be building the chemistry between the two by the week. You wonder why the Colts are so good this year, and you have to acknowledge the fact that Garcon partly responsible.

Next on the list is Cedric Benson, amazingly one of the top running backs in football through the first six weeks of the season. Benson had never done anything meaningful before 2009, but now he looks great.

With a reinvigorated offense in Cincinnati, Benson has been the perfect complement to Carson Palmer's passing game and the Bengals have a winning record as a result.

Matt Schaub. Who would have thought that Matt Schaub would be the second highest fantasy points scorer through the first 5 games of the season, only behind Peyton Manning?

Not I, said the fantasy football GM. Schaub has been brilliant and was a steal in all drafts.

Stack and Tilt Golf Swing DVD

By Mark Hammersmith

Hitting wayward and inconsistent golf shots? Does the problem lie with the thin, weak or fat shots you're hitting? Well, make sure you try out a revolutionary new swing concept called Stack and Tilt golf swing, a technique that was invented by Mike Bennet and Andy Plummer. Thanks to their brilliant brainchild, they are now regarded as the best swing teachers of modern golf. Stack and tilt golf swing tells you how you must place your weight so that better ball contact is achieved. Conventional swing techniques are completely different from this one. In conventional swing, the focus is on balancing weight shift. However, in swing and tilt, keeping your body bent over the wall and weight placed on the player's front foot are the focuses.

The contemporary and new swing technique is growing in popularity day by day. The stack and tilt golf swing uses an axis and a ball where the axis is centred on the ball. The ball then begins to rotate around the axis and the player's weight is kept on his/her front foot, first gently, then heavily until the swing is performed. By putting weight on the front foot, it eliminates problems that come with reverse pivot and incomplete weight shifts. The result is a clean shot that travels the distance and is consistent. Using this technique, the concept of swinging in simplified, while producing better results. Consistent, compact, straight and long are the 4 factors that describe a shot using this technique.

Body weight is almost entirely kept on the left foot if the golfer is a right hander. For golfers who use the right hand, the weight is mostly placed on the left foot. Once the swing from the back starts, the weight on the left foot gradually increases. In traditional swings, hips are kept in a tilted position, but here, they are kept in a horizontal position. Also, the centre point of the shoulders and hips are kept in a straight line which is quite different when compared to traditional swings. Moreover, the tilt here is a small tilt of the backbone in the direction of the target. Also, when ball impact is made, the player's head is over the ball.

You might want to know what stack and tilt offers. If gives you greater ball striking consistency and also the ability to hit the ball for greater distances. Left side, load up is the most important aspect of this technique. If you perform a fully loaded shot, the release will be good and the ball will travel a greater distance. This is not only for amateurs; even some professional golfers employ this tactic. Everyone must try and use this swing irrespective of whether they are professionals or rookies.

It gives you better results and adds more variety when compared to traditional swings. This machine comes with a detailed DVD with all the instructions. This is best for those who do not like the traditional swing techniques or need more help with the stack and tilt swing. However, if the traditional swing suits you the best, do not change it. To be a good golfer, you must choose a style that you are comfortable with and which comes most naturally to you.

The Very Rare Complications of Knee Surgery

By Dr. Stefan Tarlow

On rare occasions a patient may have complications after knee surgery; however, this happens less than 2% of the time. Sometimes the knee joint may become infected. Even more rarely, heart attack or stroke may occur.

Patients who have a chronic illness will be a bit more likely to experience complications. Rehabilitation may be extended by chronic illness, and complete recovery may be hindered.

A fairly commonly experienced complication of knee surgery is clotting in the veins of the leg. You can avoid this by simply following your orthopedic surgeons orders. You will be sent home with instructions to elevate your legs on a regular basis, perform prescribed exercises, perhaps take blood thinning medications, and perhaps even use support stockings. Be sure to follow these instructions to the letter, and you should have no problems.

Occasionally, a component of the replacement may become worn, damaged, or loosened. This rarely happens because the materials used are of extremely high quality, and of course, the surgery is performed with great care.

A range-of-motion of 115 can be expected following surgery. This may be lessened by scarring of the knee or by the very rare instance of damage to the blood vessels and nerves of the knee. Additionally, if a person had limited ROM (range of motion) prior to the surgery, it can be expected to remain somewhat limited afterwards.

Click here for more on knee surgery recovery .

Your orthopedic surgeon will be happy to discuss all of your concerns with you before you have your surgery.

What to Expect During Home Recovery

The vast majority (over 90%) of fixed unicompartmental as well as mobile bearing knee replacements function well for as much as ten years. You have a great deal of influence on the successful outcome of your surgery. By paying close attention to your orthopedic surgeons instructions, you can increase the life of your implant.

The Care of Your Wound

Your orthopedic surgeon may close your wound in one of three ways. He or she may staple or stitch it shut exteriorly or close it with subcutaneous sutures. If the closure of your wound is exterior, you can expect to go back to the doctor within a few weeks to have the stitches or staples removed. If the wound is closed with interior sutures, they will dissolve, and you will not need to do anything.

Protect your wound from excessive moisture. Keep it dry until it is completely healed. Use a bandage to protect it from being scraped and rubbed by your support hose or your clothes.

Exercise Your Knee

You will be sent home with a list of exercises that are intended to facilitate your speedy recovery. It is essential that you do them. You may feel a bit of pain while doing them; however, slight pain is normal and nothing to worry about. You may also feel a bit of pain while resting at night. As you heal, this will pass, and you will be back to normal and able to resume your regular daily activities in a month to six weeks.

What Choices Do I Have For Driving Instruction?

By Nathan Lewit

Learning is something that people do constantly throughout life. Walking, eating driving, the list is very long. One very important one that most people learn at a fairly young age is that of driving. There are tons of ways that people opt for when they are learning to drive. Here we will talk about some of the most popular choices that people tend to choose when thinking of driving lessons.

Some people want to learn from a driving teacher. This route offers the coaching of a teacher that sits in the car with you as you drive with them. They will explain how to manoeuvre the vehicle in the manner that is necessary to achieve certain results, such as parallel parking. This seems to be one of the most difficult tasks that new driver's seem to have trouble with.

They use vehicle's that have been set up with an extra brake in them on the passenger side of the car so that the teacher can do something if he or she feels the need. This can be a great way for beginners to learn what they need to know but it also can be costly if they are paying per lesson and they require quite a few lessons.

There are also driver's education courses that schools often offer to the students. Doing this includes both in classroom type of training as well as in car at one fixed price. This could be one of the more economical ways for someone to learn how to drive. Many parents prefer this option to others for this reason in particular, especially in the tough economic times that we are in at the present time.

Both of these are great picks but keep in mind that there are important things that must be looked into. Make sure that the instructor is certified and that everything is legal with the proper agencies. Also shop around as the prices will fluctuate from area to area.

There are a lot of people that are taught by family members that have been driving for a long time. Many young people feel more comfortable with them then with a stranger, especially if they goof something up. This is also by far the cheapest option available to a person as the only cost that they really have is that of the gas to keep the car running.

Another way that a person can learn to drive is through family members. This can be a good way for people that are on a very tight budget as the only real cost is that of the fuel needed for the car. Be aware though that come family members may not be the best driver's out there and there are things that you may be taught that are incorrect when it comes to when you take the real driving test.

Once again we are going to suggest that a person look around the internet. There are a lot of places that offer practice tests and have videos that can help the person that is learning to drive. Along with this there are many, many articles that are out there that can offer very useful information about driving and other related areas. Examining what is out there can be the smartest thing that you can do when thinking of driving lessons. It can save you a lot of money as well as being unhappy down the road.

Murder on Monday: Graceful all-megastar production of Agatha Christie's whodunit set in the 1930s, with unrecognizable Finney as the master-sleuth Hercule Poirot, and all his suspects on the same railroad train. Avoid Fad Diets Like Plague " They're Nothing But Trouble

By Thong M. Dao

Now you're wondering why fad diets are such a big trouble. If you have ever done any research, you might have seen numerous websites that guarantee weight loss overnight or in a matter of days.

That is always temporary. It's usually 90% water which will be put straight back on as soon as your body rehydrates, which it must do or else you'll suffer severe health problems or die.

Some popular fad diets are not what we call crash diets. These diets have been around for a while and what they try to do is to part you and I from our hard-earned money and make their inventors rich.

Some are good nutrition plans, though. But they cost you money while you can get the information from your doctor for free. Or those plans are too hard to get along with, so many folks give up after a week or two.

Why are fad diets so bad? Read on.

1. If a diet program promises you quick and easy weight loss, it's often based on eating certain types of food. However, consuming only some kinds of food will prevent you from getting a balanced diet.

They may suggest supplements but many supplements are not absorbed by the body unless they are taken along with the foods that the diet has banned. After a few weeks, if you stick to it that long, you may begin to suffer nutritional deficiencies.

2. Boring and restrictive, fad diets always are. Start a fad and you'll see. Forget about happy eating, the fact is you will not enjoy your meals. If that's not bad enough, food cravings will kick in. You will break your diet, feeling guilty and frustrated as you did not lose any weight.

3. Most fad diets do not follow recommendations of the American Heart Association and similar bodies. The promoters may argue that you'll just follow the diet for a short time. But if you do not reach your desired weight in that time, then what? You either continue with a plan that is not good for your health, or stop and probably gain back what you've lost.

4. Your body needs a wide variety of foods. However, fad diet programs do not always provide you with sufficient intake of fruits and vegetables.

5. Sorry to tell you that quick weight loss programs are only quick fixes. They're not permanent. Once you have reached your goal, the only way to maintain it is to change your eating habit.

The effects of fad diet are like a roller coaster of weight loss " weight gain, which is bad for your health, not to mention your self-esteem. You would be better off staying overweight all the time.

The only way to lose weight for good is to follow a healthy and moderate diet, exercise regularly and stay away from fad diets. If you come across a fad, run as fast as you can and don't look back.

A Fusion Of Comfort And Affordability

By Juliet D'anjer

There are some people who associate bus travel with the school buses that ferry school children to schools from home and back. But if you come to think of it, there is much more to bus travel and buses than just school buses. For more than a century now, buses have been used widely by commuters as well as long distance travels to traverse the course of cities, towns, countries and even continents. You will still find a wide variety of buses in most parts of the civilized and urban world. This is because buses are a comfortable and relatively inexpensive mode of transport that can easily carry loads of people from one point to the other, over land. There are cases when buses can be ferried across channels on barges (like on the English channel), but that's a whole different story.

You will find buses of every hue across the nations of the world. From the humble single deck school buses to the luxury long distance coaches, there are indeed so many variations of buses that play across the roads and highways of the globe. In some parts of the world, cross country and even cross continent travel by buses is very much a reality. There is a sense of joy and delight in traveling by bus, and this joy is enhanced if the bus has a cup holder which adds to the convenience of bus travel.

Passengers in buses do like to consume food and drinks in order to satiate their hunger and quench their thirst. This is understandable given the fact that they have to travel long distances in these buses. Eating or drinking also helps to break their monotony. It is here that a cup holder comes in quite handy as these help bus travelers to hold glasses, cups or even small flasks in place without running the chance of spilling stuff all over the place. Cup holders are thus important enablers of bus tidiness and cleanliness.

Using cup holders in buses has become quite simple and convenient on account of the fact that one can use the simple Velcro strap-on technology which helps you fasten the cup holder with ease.

If you want to find out more about cup holders, just type in 'cup holder' on an internet search engine and evaluate the various options that are thrown up. If the bus you use does not sport cup holders, you can perhaps talk to the concerned bus authorities too.

Top 8 Ways To Spot A Poker Bluff (Even Online!)

Spotting a poker bluff online is tricky. In offline play, you can watch body language and get physical cues as to when someone is bluffing. Usually unless they are a professional, all poker players give off signs they are bluffing through body language. Online, though, you don't have the ability to read body language, so how can you tell if someone is bluffing?

People still give off signals, even online, that they are bluffing. Some are better at covering, but others are a little loose and easy to catch. Either way, the following are 8 ways that you can spot a poker bluff online.

1. Pay attention to chatter. Some people cannot seem to hold their tongue. Some people who bluff will be chatting away. What they say may not match up to how they play and that is what you are watching for. Players may just reveal their bluff in what they say without ever realizing it.

2. A person bluffing may raise before the flop and quickly raise again. They are driving up the pot and hoping you don't have a hand you feel confident about.

3. If someone jumps into the game quickly or chooses to sits out and then changes their mind right as the cards are being dealt then they are someone to watch. They probably won't have a good hand, but are simply impatient. If they keep raising or they call quickly then chances are they are bluffing.

4. It is always smart to watch someone who goes all in with a low show on the table. This person may just be ready to call it a day and figures why not go out on a high note.

5. Get to know playing styles. The best players mix up their style, but your average player will usually follow the same general patterns. If someone starts playing odd then they should be watched. They may have a good hand, but chances are they are trying to bluff. Get to know the other players styles so you can spot when things are not quite right.

6. Watch aggressive or loose players. If you notice someone who is always playing aggressively then you never really know when to trust them because they cannot possible have an amazing hand every time.

7. Another thing about watching players - watch what is shown at the end. If someone keeps falling short then you know they like to bluff and you will keep an eye on them in the future.

8. People who play fast are a danger. Someone who is just playing fast and not putting thought into what they are doing is a loose cannon. They may not even have a clue how to play. Don't let them get you. Watch what they play and don't buy into their bluff.

These 8 ways to spot a poker bluff should help you to start being able to cut through the bluffs that are thrown your way online. After some practice and some time you should start to be able to spot online bluffs just as easily as you do during an offline game.

How To Count Cards

Card counting is a common strategy used to play and win at blackjack. If you have wanted to learn how to count cards, but have been worried it is too hard, then read on. You are about to learn simple steps to counting cards that will get you started. If you want additional information there are plenty of great resources all over the internet that teach the various methods of card counting. This should be enough, though, to get you started in card counting.

The high-low system is one of the most common methods of counting cards. It is also one of the easiest systems to understand. Before you start to learn how to count cards, you need to understand that card counting is not really about counting the actually number of cards, but rather figuring the ratio of high to low cards that remain in the deck. It may seem confusing, but just follow along and you should start to understand.

Assigning Values

In the high-low system you will assign point values to each card. Low cards include 2,3,4,5 and 6. These cards get a value of plus one. High cards are the 10,jack,queen,king and ace. These cards get a value of minus one. Neutral cards are the 7,8 and 9. They get no value assigned to them.

To begin with learning to count cards you should practice memorizing the values of each card. Go through a deck over and over reciting the card values until you are sure you have them memorized.

Keep the Running Count

Once you are feeling that you have the card values memorized you can start working with keeping a running count. This is more practice to get you ready for the actual game.

To keep a running count you start with a value of 0. As you flip over cards from your deck you will add or subtract the values. For example, if you have a king, queen, 2 and 8 you would end up with a count of minus 1.

Keeping the running count will likely take much more practice that just memorizing the values. It is essential, though, that you get keeping the running count down perfectly. You should keep practicing until it becomes like second nature and you don't hesitate anymore in figuring the count.

True Count

Once you are ready to play an actual game and count the cards during the game you will go from a running count to the true count. To do this you keep the running count and divide it by the number of cards remaining in the deck. The true count will tell you what to bet.

If the true count is positive then bet more. If it is negative then don't bet as much. This allows you to play smart and only bet when you have a good chance of winning. In the end you will likely win more than you lose. Card counting can be a great way to start improving your odds at the blackjack table and help you start to make more when you play.

Seattle Slew's Legacy Of Horse Racing Greatness

By Ross Everett

Seattle Slew, horse racing's lone remaining living Triple Crown winner, passed away on May 7, 2002 at the age of 28. Already ranked among the all time greats by virtue of this accomplishment alone, Slew is even more notable as the only Triple Crown winner to go undefeated as a three year hold. He came from humble beginnings, bought at public auction--the only Triple Crown winner to be acquired in this manner. After retiring to stud in 1978 he remained a very profitable horse based on a stud fee of $300,000. His offspring earned over $76 million dollars at the race track and include over 100 stakes race winners including 1984 Kentucky Derby champion Swale.

The Seattle Slew story began very modestly at a public auction in Lexington, Kentucky. The Keeneland Summer Yearling sale wasn't supposed to be the marketplace of champions, and the idea that this particular horse would ever amount to anything other than a farmhand was downright laughable. Slew looked clumsy, due primarily to a right forefoot that splayed outward and resulting in a shuffling gait at a trot. He also wasn't a majestic beast like his predecessor by a few years, Secretariat. Slew was borderline ugly. So ungainly a creature was he that he was given the less than inspiring nickname "Baby Huey" by the Keeneland staff. He was purchased by two couples (Karen and Mickey Taylor and Jim and Sally Hill) for $17,500. What wasn't apparent at the yearling sale was the intangibles that make up a championship thoroughbred--poise under pressure, love of competition, toughness, heart and desire. The Taylor's and Hill's had stumbled onto an equine Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan who's competitive fire quickly became apparent to the trainers that worked with him and the jockeys that rode him. His first race came at Belmont in 1976, and the three races he entered--and won--as a 2 year old gave a hint of what was to come.

Slew quickly became a horse to watch as a three year old as he won three Derby prep races including the Wood Memorial. In the Derby, Slew got off to a terrible start as he stumbled out of the gate. He recovered from the miscue and essentially bulled his way through a pack of horses to lead at the 1/4 mile pole. Slew would win the Derby by a length and 3 quarters. He took another tough victory at the Preakness before clinching the Triple Crown with a 4 length victory in the Belmont Stakes.

Slew ran in a few races as a 4 year old but in the pre-Breeders' Cup days there wasn't as many opportunities for an older horse. He retired to stud in 1978, where he sired champions such as the aforementioned Swale and 1992 Belmont Champ AP Indy.

Slew may not have earned the appreciation he deserved in his prime, coming so closely on the heels of the charismatic 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat--arguably the greatest thoroughbred race horse in history. The jockeys that rode him, however, understood fully what a special animal they were dealing with. Jockey Angel Cordero gave Seattle Slew this lofty praise: "If I had a chance to take any horse in the world, if someone said your life is depending on riding one horse to win, I would take (Slew). I rode 44,000 horses, but he was special, he was different. He was muscled, like a wrestler. He ran different than any other horse. It was like he came from another planet."

Slew was laid to rest at Hill 'n' Dale Farm in Lexington, under a statue.

Roulette Bandit Review

By Frank Shaw

This article is going to be about a roulette system called roulette bandit. There is no doubt that this roulette bandit system has taken the online gaming industry by storm because of the things that are said on the website.

Most of the roulette systems I have tried come with what I call "sexy" websites. They have lots of claims of riches with their roulette systems. I have seen success with some of them but not the amounts of money they would have you believe on their websites.

The roulette bandit seemed a lot more realistic about what could be achieved with his system. I was also impressed by the informative nature of the website so I decided to give it a go.

So does the roulette bandit offer a good roulette system or is he just a marketing genius? Well at first glance the roulette bandit's system seems too difficult. I actually put it on the back burner for a while and didn't bother using it.

After a week of digesting the information I had been given I was ready to put it into practice. It was worth my time learning the betting patterns because they actually work. It requires some patience to use but an upside is that it doesn't require a large bankroll.

After a few weeks of using the system I am pretty confident in saying that the roulette bandit system is a long term one, it is very slow and steady it can't win money very quickly like some other systems that I have tried but it also doesn't lose money quickly because you never place any large bets.

If I'm honest I've never seen anything like the system that the roulette bandit sent me. Most system and software packages that I have seen are very similar in the systems that they apply but the roulette bandit has definitely thought outside the box to come up with this.

The only downside to the roulette bandit system is that it is not a software application. Almost every system for sale online today comes in a software format and while there are some that are pretty awful they are still easy to use.

Because the roulette bandit just outlines his system and how to bet it requires some work to see the best results. Don't take what I am saying the wrong way, the roulette bandit explains his system very clearly it just requires some work to learn and apply it.

Overall I think the roulette bandit system is probably the best that I have bought. The reason I say this is because I haven't experienced any losses with it and while I cannot win money really fast with it I can win slowly and consistently and my winnings over the last few weeks have started to build up.

Mobile Phone Roulette

By Cgris Duckworth

Today I'm going to be speaking about various forms of roulette that casinos offer and in particular mobile phone roulette. Online roulette seems to be so popular these days and the casinos keep giving people more variety.

I remember the days when all you did with a phone was make phone calls or send text messages back in the early 2000's you just wouldn't believe that you would be able to use your phone to play roulette for real money.

Now before you start getting too excited I need to point out that not all mobile phones will be compatible for this service. The most important thing that your phone will need is a strong internet connection. A high pixel quality will also help.

To play roulette on you mobile phone you will need to download it to your phone. The casinos that offer this service will outline all the things that your phone needs.

The game play itself is actually very good and it is better than what you would expect. But I won't lie to you it isn't as good as the game play you get with regular online roulette but this is to be expected.

The thing that I don't understand though is this, what is the point of mobile roulette? I would have thought that rather than playing it on your phone when you are out of the house why not just wait until you get home and play online.

You will only play roulette on your phone when you aren't at home and usually if you aren't at home you are at work. So when will you find the time to play? The only times that I can see would be on the bus to work or maybe during your dinner hour.

This is my major concern with mobile roulette. There are many people out there with gambling addictions, and when these gamblers are at work it is the one time when they are kept away from gambling. With the introduction of mobile roulette they are now able to gamble whenever they want so my advice is to proceed with caution.

Lead Guitarists: Understanding Minor Pentatonic and Blues Scales

By Bailey Murphy

In this article we are going to provide you guidance about our first scale, the Minor Pentatonic scale. Pentatonic is a remarkable scale to learn, specially for guitar. It is normally the 1st scale. It is pretty simple, and it works very well over simple chord progressions, and is a great place to start practicing improvisation for soloing.

The basic information about the Minor Pentatonic Scale

Pentatonic scale has 5 notes (hence the Penta- in its name). This is the 1st scale. It is very interesting because most scales you will memorize in the future have 7 notes in them. It has only 2 notes on every string and this makes the pentatonic scale easier to play. The Pentatonic scale includes both major and minor - we will concentrate on the Minor Pentatonic scale in this lesson.

In the scales introduction any scale can be described by a plain numeric formula, and the pentatonic scale can also be portrayed in the same way.

Its formula is: 3 2 2 3 2

Lets see how this acts in an exemplar, e.g. G Minor Pentatonic.

We start with G as our base note, and add every step of the pattern to get the next note:

G + 3 semitones is Bb Bb + 2 semitones is C C + 2 semitones is D D + 3 semitones is F F + 2 semitones is G

Thus there you get G minor pentatonic notes that are G, Bb, C, D, F, G. This formula can be implemented with any other root note for the exact scale entirely depending upon your choice.

Furthermore, you can move these patterns up and down the neck. For example, if you want a minor Pentatonic, then you work it out as follows:

The base note A is 2 semitones up from G, so just move every of these rules up 2 frets and voila, you will find patterns for A minor pentatonic.

Also, the patterns repeat up the neck after the first five - hence if you want to climb up higher, start again with the 1st rule played with the G root note played on the 15th fret instead of the 3rd fret.

The Blues Scale

Another scale, very closely related to the minor pentatonic scale is the blues scale which is used in blues. An attitional leading note to the pentatonic scale is normally imparted by the blues players which is technically known as a flattened 5th - that stands for an additional note in between notes 3 and 4 of the pentatonic scale. When this note is added to the minor pentatonic scale you find the blues scale. The pattern changes when you add that extra note to it and it becomes like this: 3 2 1 1 3 2, and our example G minor Pentatonic becomes G, Bb, C, Db, D, F, G when rewritten as the blues scale.

The Minor Pentatonic Musical Scale in Action

Now we are going to talk about that how to play the Minor Pentatonic and the Blues scale. Both the Pentatonic and the Blues scales are suitable for playing Rock and 12 bar blues with. Lets focus on 12 bar blues - a very pretty simple concept that is considered as a source of some amazing music over the years.

The chords you apply are a type of I, IV, V progression - what that means isn't really critical at this stage, but the chords you would use with a G minor or Pentatonic scale would be as follows:

G - G - G - G - C - C - G - G - D - C - G - D This chord sequence enables you to play sequences of notes from any of the pentatonic boxes and you will get a bluesy form of improvisation going.
