Which Pool Liner Is For You?

By Rachel Head

One of the most important yet boring aspects of getting your new pool ready to swim in is choosing the right liner. If you want your pool to be fully functional for a long period of time though you need to take your time choosing the liner as it can make a big difference in the long run,

The first type of liner that I'll mention is the beaded liner. These usually work by fixing onto a rail that goes around the edge of the pool, keeping the liner in place.

Another type is unibead liners which fix themselves to the pool via a J-hook, although you don't have to understand what this means to be able to get one.

Thirdly we have a type of liner called an overlap swimming pool liner. You can probably guess that they overlap the edge of the pool!

Some other types of swimming pool liner exist, although we won't go into detail here. If you need them for your pool you should take a look round your local swimming pool store.

If you are going to be a new liner then you must make sure before you do that you are buying the right one. You don't want to waste your money on something that isn't going to fit your pool or that is going to do the job you require.

If you don't know how to fit the liner then it is really important to hire someone who does. in the end it is only going to waste your money and time if you try and fit the liner yourself and get it wrong, so don't take that chance.

Get the liner sorted and the pool becomes as fun as you want it to be, so don't try and buy the cheapest liner, get one that you know will do the job and that will do it well! Paying a little bit extra upfront will make your life easier in the long run.
