Watch True Blood TV Show Online and Fall in Love

By Davion Wong

Forget about Sex and the City. Watch True Blood TV show online, the HBO unabashedly sexual series. This show centers on Sookie Stackhouse [Ana Paquin], a telepathic waitress who works at Merlotte's in the fictional town of Bon Temps, Louisiana.

The possibility of a peaceful co-existence between vampires and humans was challenged when Sookie meets Bill Campton [Stephen Moyer], a 173-year old vampire. When they fell in love, this tolerance was stretched almost at breaking point. Add to this brew the serial murders of several human women who had affairs with vampires, and show creator Allan Ball, who once explored similar dark territory in Six Feet Under, has another hit on his hands.

Show creator Allan Ball is credited with making the dead appear glamorous in Six Feet Under. Ball, however, gave full reign to his death fixation by injecting True Blood with life-infusing sex, not only sex but carnal and oftentimes animalistic sex. One of these involved Sookie and Bill making out in the middle of a graveyard, which viewers can watch when they download True Blood online.

Like Six Feet Under, True Blood is unsparing in presenting the depth of its colorful characters. There's Sookie's brother Jason [Ryan Kwanten], the local Lothario who in Season One was accused of murdering a lover. Then there's Lafayette [Nelsan Ellis], Merlotte's cook who also part-times as Jason's gay drug pusher; Tara, Sookie's bestfriend who in Season One was involved in a bizarre exorcism rite; and Sam Merlotte, Sookie's boss, who is secretly in love with her and who also happens to be a shape-shifter.

Ball had a brainwave about the series after reading the first installment in Harris vampire series, Dead Until Dark. He became interested in bringing Harris' vision to the small screen after reading the entire series.

Harris had two other adaptation options when Ball approached her about the project. But she chose to go with Ball because she felt that Ball understood what she was doing with the books.

When it premiered on September 2008, True blood garnered a very modest 1.44 million viewers. But when word of mouth went around about the sex scenes, this figure jumped to reach 6.8 million a week in November, which included repeat and on-demand viewings.

If sex sells then Ball and HBO certainly did find a goldmine in the show. You can watch True Blood TV show online anytime that is doable at your end.
