How to Locate the Perfect Children's Entertainer For Your Child's Party in 7 Simple Steps

By Hannah Scrivener

When you hire an entertainer at your child's party you need someone who will captivate the children and keep them excited and happy while you relax, talk to friends and enjoy yourself. It can be hard to assess whether the entertainer you book with will deliver a quality performance but there are a few key signs.

1. Communicate! Make sure you ask lots of questions when making an enquiry, ask to talk to the actual entertainer who will be coming to the event so you can get an idea of their personality, energy and enthusiasm. Ask to see a picture of them or find out how long they have worked in the industry.

2. Look for professionalism throughout the business. If the website is good quality, it is likely that the products they offer are also good quality. Hence, the entertainment will be great.

3. It may seem unfair to judge a business's entertainers on intangible qualities like logos or websites but there is a lot of truth in the saying first impressions count. If the first encounter is not impeccable then why would other aspects of the business be any better?

4. Be sure in your own mind about what you are looking for, what you want the entertainer to look and behave like. This will help you not settle for second best, but to find an entertainer you and your child will be really happy with.

5. Remember to be flexible as well. Sometimes you may want a blonde Cinderella princess but the business only has a brunette princess. Go for quality entertainers, with lots of experience as they will do a great job no matter what their hair colour may be!

6. When talking on the phone to different companies and gathering quotes, ask for some additional information to be sent via post or email as this will help give you something to look at when comparing quotes and packages.

7. By getting something sent, you will also be able to see another aspect of the business, you will see how quick they are in replying to your requests. You'll get a sense for how they present themselves and how much they value you as a customer.
